AAlfa-College is a VET school with locations in the north and north-east of the Netherlands, in the cities of Groningen, Assen, Hoogeveen and Hardenberg and provides intermediate vocational education, educational training and employer training in cooperation with partners in the various regions. It offers full-time courses, with or without internships, and courses of one or two days for employees who have an employment contract. In total, there are about 12,000 students and 1100 staff members, divided among all the schools. The keystones are Healthy Ageing, Energy and Entrepreneurship. Sport educational programmes prepare students for a wide range of jobs in the sports world, from movement supervisor to sports coordinator.
